1 What exactly is responsible gaming?
Responsible gaming is a mindset and a habit — one where you consciously enjoy gaming as a form of entertainment, not as a source of income or an escape from problems. At gen 4, responsible gaming isn't just a policy; it's a core part of who we are.
Gaming has its place in everyone's life — but when it starts crossing a line, that's when problems arise. That's why gen 4 wants every player to stay informed, know their limits, and feel comfortable asking for help when needed.
The three core pillars of responsible gaming are: Awareness — staying aware of your own gaming behavior; Control — maintaining control over your time and money; and Support — and having the courage to ask for help when you need it. Keep these three things in mind and gaming will always stay enjoyable.
Keep in mind: Winning is never guaranteed in gaming. Every game outcome is completely random — keeping this in mind helps you avoid unnecessary frustration.
2 Signs of Problem Gaming
It's not always easy to notice when gaming habits start becoming a problem. If you recognise any of the signs below, it may be time to take a step back:
- Repeatedly feeling the urge to bet beyond your budget
- Chasing losses by placing bigger bets to try to win back what you've lost
- Feeling restless or irritable when not gaming
- Losing interest in family, friends, or work due to gaming
- Hiding how much you're playing from yourself or those close to you
- Spending money set aside for bills, rent, or essential expenses on gaming
- Repeatedly trying to cut back on gaming but failing to do so
- Viewing gaming as a way to solve financial problems
Even if just one of the above signs applies to you, please speak with the gen 4 support team. We're not here to judge — we're here to help.

5 Tips for Safe & Enjoyable Gaming
Drawing on years of experience working with players, gen 4 has put together a set of practical tips to help keep gaming enjoyable at all times:
- Set a budget beforehand: Decide how much you're willing to spend before you start playing. Make sure that amount won't affect your day-to-day life if lost.
- Set aside your winnings: If you hit a big win, consider withdrawing a portion of those funds. Avoid putting the entire amount back into play.
- Take regular breaks: Take at least a 10–15 minute break every hour. Get up, stretch, drink some water, and rest your eyes.
- Don't play when emotions are running high: Avoid gaming when you're angry, frustrated, or emotionally unsettled.
- Don't game under the influence: Substances impair your judgment, which can lead to serious losses.
- Don't make gaming your only source of entertainment: Make time for other hobbies, friends, and family.
- Keep your expectations realistic: Think of gaming as entertainment — don't count on it as a regular source of income.
6 Minor Protection
Gen 4 strictly prohibits anyone under 18 from using the platform. Age verification and KYC checks at registration ensure that no underage user can create an account.
If you have children or teenagers at home, take the following steps:
- Install parental control software on your computer or mobile device.
- Keep your gen 4 account password out of reach of children.
- Disable auto-login on your device.
- Have open, honest conversations with your children about online gaming.
